MotoGP Rookies Cup 2010
For the 2010 Red Bull MotopGP Rookies Cup we welcome the family and friends of all participating riders (collectively known as the 'entourage').
General programme
We have set up a package where we take care of you from landing to departure:
- Pre-event travel planning and advice
- 4 nights 3* Hotel (or better) with breakfast
- Dedicated Rookies guide at each event
- Specific plans for transfers and other activities at each event (costs and details vary for each event, depending on numbers and circumstances)
You can add extra nights; put more people into rooms to save money (and we do not penalise singles!); and we can organise any private functions/dinners for you and sponsors.
We also have a programme for our commercial customers which includes activities that you (and riders where appropriate) are welcome to join. Friday night we always have an opening party with food, drink and guest speakers

The Bottom Line
So what will using us for the entire programme set you back?
Assuming there are two people (rider + guardian) attending the tests and the full season; for the recommended days (4 nights each event, 6 nights for the pre-season tests) the costs will be:
| Programme |
EUR |
| Pre-season test package (7 days with t/f in between) |
620 |
| Full season (6 events, 10 rounds, 4 days each) |
3640 |
| TOTAL |
4260 |
| Special 'Gold' discount - 6% |
-260 |
| NET |
4000 |
This does NOT include:
- Flights (see section on flights)
- Any additional people attending
- Additional nights
- Ground transfer costs
- Incidental expenditures (food, drink -- although most meals are covered in practice under this programme)
- Insurances. Please confirm your insurance status!
Cost control
We will always work with you to keep to a budget; and advise areas where we think costs could be saved. Some points to consider:
- If you need to bring a third or 4th person, we can put in one room
- If you are spending extra nights, we will be able to advise inexpensive food options
- We will try to link you up with others arriving roughly the same time to permit carpooling to/from airports
- If you are coming a long distance, consider staying in Europe for events reasonably close to each other. Following the schedule reduction, in practice this means Sachsenring - Donington. See below.
ASSEN:
In all cases we can help with internal European travel and accommodation.
The Sachsenring-Donington Shuffle
If you are coming from outside Europe, we recommend you come to both events as a single trip.
There are very cheap flights from Prague to East Midlands (adjacent to Donington) so we recommend this route - Prague is the home base of Pole Position Travel (and accommodation is less expensive than Castle Donington!)
This also gets you a mini-break in Prague as well!
There are also many cheap flights TO Prague, from London, Amsterdam, Paris and other major European cities. This means if you are coming intercontinentally, you can target almost any city in Europe; then get to Prague to start our programme.
Our recommended itinerary:
- Wed 15/Jul - Arrive Prague.
- Transfer with Pole Position Travel staff to Chemnitz. Depending on arrival times we will depart Prague Wed evening or Thur Morning
- Thu 16/Jul - Mon 20/Jul Chemnitz / Sachsenring events.
- Mon 20/Jul return to Prague, 2 nights in Prague
- Tue 21/Jul Prague. We will do a walking city tour of our home. Dinner with PPT staff.
- Wed 22/Jul Fly to East Midlands with PPT Staff
- Wed 22/Jul - Mon 27/Jul Castle Donington
The total price for this as an add-on to the 'normal' packages is 250 EUR per person. This includes
- t/f germany/prague
- 2 nights Prague
- 2 dinners Prague
- Flight PRG - EMA
- guide services throughout
Please note this price is subject to change depending on the flight cost at the time of booking. (on 1.4.09 is 55 EUR pp)
Assuming the above programme, the TOTAL cost for 2 people starting in Prague 15/Jul and ending in Castle Donington 27/Jul will be EUR 2099:
